About Us
The International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC), based in Geneva, Switzerland, was founded in 1953. AIIC, which has over 3,000 members, has the singular characteristic of being the only international association of interpreters represented across six continents.
AIIC Africa, comprising Central, East, Southern and West Africa was established in February 1979. Our 176 members, from diverse backgrounds, are held in high regard globally and provide interpretation services at conferences, meetings and workshops of international, continental and regional organisations, as well government and non-governmental institutions.
